This ready to wear British designer collection was developed in response to a leather agent's need for a high-end product. Aimed at a 25-45 core market of discerning women, it's pieces are completed by a small number of knit and hand embroidered silk pieces. -
BBC MINDtouch/SMARTfashion wearable technology projects
These garments were co-created by Rachel Lasebikan and Tara Mooney for a media research project conducted through BBC Funding. The aim of the lead researcher, Camille Baker, was to uncover new research from the use of new wireless and mobile phone technologies during practice-based performance. With the help of programmers we learned how to use the Arduino to develop interactive wearable products and how to house sensors for biomedical feedback. The garments were worn during numerous live visuals performances around the world. -
