This interesting report, published in the Wall Street Journal outlines how sustained economic growth in Africa has produced a "first time" middle class across the continent.
This is old news for many of the African Diaspora but it's still good to have statistics to back up what we have long known.
Statistics such as this help companies like the ABN pan-African television network who often have difficulty in proving to advertisers and major investors that these consumers exist.
